During this time, we know that emotions can be highened and stress levels increased for guardians as well as youth. It is important to check-in with each other and have those in depth discussions. Below is a list of various sites that provide simple discussion starters and free dopwnloadable/ printable worksheets for adults as well as children and teens. In the event you do not have access to a printer you may also just view the form and answer the questions. These are just simply ideas to engage families in communicating together and being able to determine the needs of the family. We are all in it together.

 

Family Game Idea

Janga-

just a normal game of janga, not even close! Label the bricks with a question, from easy ones to hard ones. Have some fun with it! From favorite color, food, hobby questions to more indepth questions such as worst fear, biggest wish, and so much more. This activity will allow the entire family to engage and get to know each other on a deeper level.

Since 1952, Boys & Girls Clubs of Central New Mexico (BGCCNM) has provided at-risk children, between the ages of 5 and 18, with a safe place to learn and grow. Currently the Club serves over 4000 children in its Albuquerque and Rio Rancho Clubs, providing them with state-of-the-art programing administered by highly trained staff.
