WHAT?: Grab hold of a 20-ton Boeing 727 and pull to benefit the kids of Central New Mexico during the 2nd Annual Pulling for Kids event! Teams of 20 individuals put their backs into it to see how fast they can pull a plane 20 feet. The fastest time wins!
WHERE & WHEN?: The Albuquerque International Sunport on Saturday, September 24, 2016 from 8:30 a.m. to noon. The car show ends at 3:00 p.m.
HOW DOES IT WORK?: The first step is to register your team. Pull together your family, friends, and coworkers to compete for bragging rights and prizes. Teams can participate by raising at least $1,000 - that's just $50 per team member! Prizes will be awarded in multiple categories including the fastest pull, best costume, and more.
IS THE EVENT FREE TO THE PUBLIC?: Yes! Adults and children are welcome to attend the event free of charge. In addition to watching the teams compete, attendees can enjoy live bands, food from the best food trucks in Albuquerque, a car show, appearances by police, fire, and military personnel, and a chance to shop vendors from around the city. Plus, parking is convenient and absolutely free.
